Ākāśagarbha — whose name means "the storehouse of the void" — is the bodhisattva of wisdom as vast and open as the sky. In the Eight Guardian Buddha tradition, he watches over people born in the years of the Ox and the Tiger, grounding the bold and the determined in clear judgment.
Each pendant pairs a miniature thangka of Ākāśagarbha, painted in vivid mineral pigments, with a solid brass gau box engraved by hand. The back carries the Ten-Syllable kalachakra seal, a timeless emblem of harmony and protection. A five-color Tibetan cord is braided by hand and finished with brass beads, a coin charm and a small bell.

Caring for brass and color
Brass naturally deepens. Over time the gau box develops a soft patina, which is normal for solid brass and not a defect. Wipe it gently with the included cloth to keep a warm shine; avoid polishing the engraved face harshly.
Keep it dry. Remove the pendant before bathing, swimming or sleeping, and avoid perfume, sweat and prolonged humidity. In humid seasons, store it in the closed pouch with the box snapped shut.
Protect the painting. The thangka face is set behind a protective layer but is not waterproof. Keep it away from direct sun for long periods and from sharp knocks. If the cord loosens, gently retie the sliding knot rather than pulling hard.
The detail on the brass back is stunning — you can tell it's chased by hand rather than stamped. The meaning card explained Ākāśagarbha clearly. It feels substantial without being heavy.
